• The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Universities have presented to the educational community the draft of the Order that regulates the university entrance test for the 2023-2024 academic year and which will go on public display
• The autonomous communities must take the exams before June 14, in the case of the ordinary call, and before July 12 or September 13 in the case of the extraordinary call.

The draft of the Order that determines the characteristics, design and content of the Baccalaureate evaluation for access to university for the 2023-2024 academic year has been presented today by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and the Universities to students, families, institute directors, autonomous communities and universities.

The document will be put on public display starting today, at which time interested groups will be able to send their considerations and contributions to it.

The same number of subjects to be examined is maintained as in previous courses: the mandatory one of the modality and three common ones (four in the case of autonomous communities with a co-official language).

Students who take the EBAU will take an exam in Spanish Language and Literature II, Foreign Language II and the specific mandatory subject of the modality. In the autonomous communities with a co-official language, they will also do so on that subject. In compliance with the Educational Law, students must choose whether to take the History of Spain or History of Philosophy exam.

Those who wish to raise their admission grade may also take exams in at least two other second-year Baccalaureate modality subjects. Likewise, students may take the exam in a second foreign language other than the one they had taken as a common subject and the grade may be taken into account by the universities in the admission process.

The draft of the Order only includes the minimum changes necessary to adapt it to the Education Law and the new curricula since, as reported last August , the implementation of the new EBAU is postponed until the formation of a new government. .

Therefore, the tests will evaluate the degree of acquisition of the specific skills of the corresponding subjects of the new curricula through the application of the evaluation criteria included in the Royal Decree that establishes the organization and the minimum teachings of the Baccalaureate, which will constitute the frame of reference to determine its content.

It should be noted that, in this course, for the first time, students who have taken the new General Baccalaureate modality, introduced by the Education Law approved in 2020, will take the test.

The text also includes the dates on which the autonomous communities must call the tests. In the case of the ordinary call, the exams must be taken before June 14 and the results must be published before the 28th of that same month. In the case of the extraordinary exam, the CCAA that decide to do it in July must do so before the 12th and publish the results before the 19th. If they choose September, the deadlines will be the 13th and the 20th.

El borrador de la Orden por la que se determinan las características, el diseño y el contenido de la evaluación de Bachillerato para el acceso a la universidad para el curso 2023-2024 se ha presentado hoy por el Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional y el de Universidades a estudiantes, familias, directores de instituto, comunidades autónomas y universidades.

El documento será sometido a exposición pública desde hoy, momento en el cual los colectivos interesados podrán hacer llegar sus consideraciones y aportaciones al mismo.

Se mantiene el mismo número de materias a examen que en cursos anteriores: la obligatoria de la modalidad y tres comunes (cuatro en el caso de las comunidades autónomas con lengua cooficial).

Los estudiantes que se presenten a la EBAU se examinarán de Lengua Castellana y Literatura II, Lengua Extranjera II y la materia específica obligatoria de la modalidad. En las comunidades autónomas con lengua cooficial, también lo harán de esa materia. En cumplimiento de la Ley educativa, los alumnos y alumnas deberán elegir si examinarse de Historia de España o Historia de la Filosofía.

Aquellos que deseen subir su nota de admisión podrán también examinarse de, al menos, otras dos materias de modalidad de segundo curso de Bachillerato. Asimismo, el alumnado podrá examinarse de una segunda lengua extranjera distinta de la que hubiera cursado como materia común y la nota podrá ser tenida en cuenta por las universidades en el proceso de admisión.

El borrador de la Orden solo recoge los cambios mínimos necesarios para adaptarla a la Ley de Educación y a los nuevos currículos ya que, tal y como se informó el pasado mes de agosto, la implantación de la nueva EBAU queda aplazada hasta la formación de nuevo gobierno.

Por tanto, las pruebas evaluarán el grado de adquisición de las competencias específicas de las correspondientes materias de los nuevos currículos a través de la aplicación de los criterios de evaluación recogidos en el Real Decreto que establece la ordenación y las enseñanzas mínimas del Bachillerato, que constituirá el marco de referencia para determinar su contenido.

Cabe destacar que, en este curso, por primera vez, se presentarán a la prueba los estudiantes que hayan cursado la nueva modalidad de Bachillerato general, introducida por la Ley de Educación aprobada en 2020.

El texto también recoge las fechas en las que las comunidades autónomas deberán convocar las pruebas. En el caso de la convocatoria ordinaria, los exámenes deberán realizarse antes del 14 de junio y los resultados deberán publicarse antes del 28 de ese mismo mes. En el caso de la extraordinaria, las CCAA que decidan hacerla en julio, deberán hacerlo antes del día 12 y publicar los resultados antes del 19. Si escogen septiembre, las fechas límite serán el 13 y el 20.
